Angel (Angel By My Stride)
Angel, a fiery redheaded mare, was generously donated to us by a loving family who wanted nothing but the best for her future. It didn’t take long for Angel to choose us, and from that moment on, our bond was sealed.

One of Angel’s favorite pastimes is soaking up the sun, enjoying every moment of her sunbathing sessions. But beyond her love for the sunshine, she truly thrives as a therapy horse, bringing joy and comfort to all who meet her.
Diamond (DiamondLuv)
DiamondLuv is a remarkable OTTB American Thoroughbred gelding, born in 2002 and standing at 16.2 hands. Known as a "WAR horse," he had an impressive 42 racing starts, concluding his racing career in 2010 after five final races. Following his time on the track, Diamond was trained in lower-level eventing. He’s known for his gentle nature, impeccable manners, and occasionally his diva-like tendencies.

In 2012, Diamond made his way to Charleston, SC, to begin his new life as a therapy horse at Quinby. Since then, he has become a barn favorite, adored by all who ride, groom, graze, or simply spend time with him. With the heart of an old soul, Diamond takes great joy in helping others and spreading his calming presence.
Juan (Don Juan)
Tohard Times, aka "Don Juan," is an OTTB American Thoroughbred who joined our program in June 2017. His brief racing career consisted of just one start, which quickly revealed he wasn't interested in the track. He then transitioned into the Hunter/Jumper world, where he became a standout show horse and helped many young riders earn ribbons. After sustaining multiple injuries over the years, Don Juan now enjoys his role as a therapy horse, providing support to cancer patients in their journey toward recovery.

Juan is an outgoing and playful gelding who loves the company of his pasture mates and is always the first to greet visitors. Despite his boundless energy, he has a gentle side, patiently lowering his head to allow children to reach out and connect with him.
OUR HORSES
Secret Slew (C. Kid Blush)
Secret Slew, also known as C. Kid Blush or "Secret," is an OTTB American Thoroughbred who became a part of our program in September 2020. His brief racing career included just one start, which clearly showed he wasn’t cut out for the track. Instead, he found his true calling as a well-trained dressage horse. For 15 years, Secret was cherished by a wonderful family who made him an integral part of their lives. As he entered his later years, his owners made the selfless decision to retire him, with the hope that he could serve as a therapy horse. Now, he’s making a difference in the lives of cancer patients, offering comfort and support during their recovery journey.
Secret is an snuggle bug and happily greets you. He's enjoying retirement and learning to be apart of a herd, since he was in a single horse home.
Lucky
Lucky is a brave and resilient pony who endured over two years of severe neglect before we rescued him last year. His road to recovery has been long, but with the care and support of our herd, he has made incredible progress. Our horses welcomed him with open hearts, and it's clear to see how grateful Lucky is every single day.
Now, Lucky is thriving in his new home and has formed a special bond with Secret, with the two of them playing and roughhousing together daily. His gentle spirit and deep appreciation for life make him a natural therapy horse, and he’s quickly finding his place in bringing comfort and joy to others.
